We went on the train ride today and from start to finsh was a great experience. We were picked up from The outrigger and drove 15minutes to the train. Our tour guide Nicki was very friendly and tild us some of the local history. The train ride back to Sigatoka took about an hour. The train is very old as... More

Wow what a trip back in time. Original sugar cane train. Really original. Lol. Amazing insight how the village people live. Took 4 bags of lollies but want enough as I felt sorry for the little ones. Took some toys for the preschool as well as a small donation. Morning tea was good. Singing from the kids so cute. Sigatoka... More

The tour involved taking the train to Sigatoka via a pre school (this part takes approx 2.5hours). Upon arrival you have free time, and than you take the train back (approx 2 hours). Our guide was great, but the train needs some TLC and it is a very noisy journey there and back. One tip - upon arrival at the... More

This was a great family day out. The train is very rustic and provides a true Fijian experience. Travel through the Fijian jungle through villages with local children running along side the train waiting for lollies and other goodies. Finish up in Sigatoka and enjoy some local shopping and lunch.

The train ride was fantastic as you can see areas on the coral coast as well as the villages. The disappointment was the tour of the village. It was very quick and sort. The tour guide seemed a bit intoxicated as he was not really answering any of our questions. The children were lovely though and wanted to play with... More

Took the wife & kids on the train from Sigatoka to Cuvu & had a fantastic ride. The whole experience was one that we'll never forget. The views are of real Fiji, the local kids were very friendly & run after the train as it slowly travels along the tracks. The train is loud but that has a lot to... More

Bula - Coral Coast Railway, if you want a fast ride then this is not the tour for you. This is a much more relaxed ride and you will love the scenery and the children running up to the train for lollies. Thank you Nick our tour guide for the fantastic day we had. Absolutely loved the pre-school children singing... More

Great trip on this "old train" giving the village kids lollies along the way, morning tea at a pre school. Lunch and shopping in the town of Sigatoka than back on the train for the return trip. Nick our guide was great.

This is a real ride in history and it is an old train. Don't expect bright and shiny. It is a fun trip, as the children in the villages along the way, come to meet the train to get lollies. Take a good supply of lollies or you can buy them at the store where the train leaves. We stopped... More

If you take a trip on the sugar cane train expecting it to be like a Disneyland ride, you are going to be sorely disappointed. The train is old but absolutely charming. The track meanders along the coastline and through a number of small villages on the way to Sigatoka. Unscheduled stops are common as the engineer, and sometimes the... More
