We were taken to this bell by our guide during Tirana free tour. It was made from about 20 thousand melted shell casings collected by Albanian children after the period of domestic unrest in the late 1990s. Its sound should be a reminder to the people that such things should not happen again.

Well, there is a geocache nearby, so we went here. The history of the place is very interesting, but the place itself is not really all that nice. Still worth seeing when you are in the area.

This bell is part of the pyramid complex that is left over from the Communist days. The sentiment is to be applauded. The design is not very attractive. Come for the curious nostalgia.

The bell is surrounded by construction area, they build houses im front. The piramide in front of it is renewed, so not how it supposed to be anymore..

The peace bell is by the big Hoxha dome. It's interesting enough I guess as a piece of sculpture commemorating history however the dome is decaying and the surrounding park area full of litter (we found litter a huge issue in Albania). Also be aware that street beggars may approach you near here.
