Tirana offers up a simple, lovely Catholic Church. It is worth the visit while you are in Central Tirana.

Not really all that much to see, though the proximity to the main mosque and the Orthodox cathedral makes for a nice swing through them all to reflect on the generally good relations among religious groups in this formerly, officially atheistic country.

a Lovely church, somehow with a very peaceful feeling inside. Not bright and shinny, but authentic. Colours, smell, garden, human size. Open just in the morning.

Built in the 19th century this pretty church was a gift from the Emperor of Austro-Hungary. Not far from the center of Tirana it is worth a quick visit.

Extra-ordinarily old architectural form. Why would you choose to build in a style famous from about 350 A.D.? Great halls are memorable and arresting of the usual thought patterns, that's why! Still works the magic. Give to the old widows outside.

I recently got married in this church, the priest is friendly and welcoming to everyone, he speaks ok English. The church is beautiful inside and out. I couldn't of asked for a nicer church to marry in.
