Good to visit and see historic remains of the track. Easy to access from cable car and can walk through the forest too.

This abandoned bobsleigh and luge track is a fantastic place to visit. It goes through the forest and you can have a lovely walk on the track. The track is covered in a lot of graffiti what makes it a very cool place to walk. This is an absolute highlight in Sarajevo!

Very interesting spot. Lots of graffiti around. It was destroyed in the war and never restored, but it is very interesting with all the graffiti.

We were new in town and some how made found the way to go up into mountains. We took the cable carts which cost us 20 marks each. Then we trekked to find the bobsled place which was sad to see being abandoned. At one point there were thousands of spectators on 1980’s. Trekking back to the base of cable cart place was a struggle but scenic.

This was an amazingly atmospheric site, set high above Sarajevo. The walk is in a shady forest, so is a great choice in the summer heat.

We parked our camper in the large free car park at the top of Mount Trebević, then walked the fifteen minutes or so the track with our four dogs. The other way to get there is via the cable car.

We kept our dogs on a leash, since there was a pack of four or five stray dogs hanging around the car park, a small herd of horses (who raided the trash bins!) and we were concerned about landmines if they ran free in the forest. Although we were assured that the area had been cleared and 'those little guys won't set them off' we chose to be cautious!

We walked down the bobsleigh track itself. The place is eerie - you can imagine Olympic athletes hurtling down the track, although the bullet and mortar holes belie the unforseen Olympic legacy - the track was used as an artillery emplacement to bombard the city during the siege. The graffiti is amazing.

From the nearby Bistrik towers you can see a panoramic view over the city.

Because of the atmosphere, this was one of my favourite activities in Sarajevo.

Worth a visit to walk around in this Odd conplex. A beautiful outdoor grafitti Gallery. With niece views. And a small window into the World 40 years back.

Great to see this relic of the Winter Olympics - now graffiti art. We took the cable car from Sarajevo (15KM one way or 20KM return) which was clean and efficient and gave a great aerial view of Sarajevo. From here we walked a couple of hundred meters to the signposted bobsleigh track and ended up walking back down the hill to Sarajevo - about 90 mins - great to do when the weather is OK...cafe and refreshment stands at the top.

I walked quite some distance of this. The elevation starts low, increasing as do the side walls of the run as you descend.
It's exterior is pockmarked with small arms fire holes proving it's usefulness as shelter in the Balkan War.
The cable car ride up is picturesque as the properties are prettier as you go. The air is fresher, too.

Strange thing to see but worth it.
Need to go up the cable car then short walk down the road.
The guide says kept up by the graffiti and looks it.
Don't use the walking path route in the winter as was very icy.
