A lovely market.

This is a lovely and colorful market, located in a run-down part of town. While the surroundings might look like slums, the place felt safe throughout our visit. You can fine... read more

If you have to select between Central Market Hall and Women's Market, prefer the second one. You can find traders of local products and feel the beat of local market here.

It is the best open market for vegetables and fruits. I found everything there but you really need to compare the prices among sellers .

I did not like it at all. It is definitely cheap place, but I have never got products I wanted to buy. You are not allowed to chose what you want and sellers give you spoiled fruites and vagetables. I was disappointed!

Okay! They don't sell women on "Women's market". :) This is more like arabic market for the latest years. Visit it only if you already have been everywhere else. :)

This is a lovely and colorful market, located in a run-down part of town. While the surroundings might look like slums, the place felt safe throughout our visit. You can fine fruits and vegetables here, along with the regular market knick-knacks. A lot of elderly locals come to shop here, especially due to the VERY low prices. There's a lovely... More

On our final day in Bulgaria we went here to buy our food souvenirs. I think the market is really good, because it's a real local market. Yes, there are lots of Roma around the area, but I never felt uncomfortable during the market visit. They have lots of food stalls and little food shop. I was able to buy... More

Well I was hoping for a great marker with a good atmosphere, I was really let down. There was loads of fresh veg, that's the god part, it looked very nice If you want to go there to look at other general market stuff then don't bother, there were loads of stalls selling cheap clothes (unbranded) or some very very... The place was interesting, but seemed more sterile than the bazaars we visited in places like Pristina and Skopje. There were plenty of things to buy - vegetables, souvenirs, street food - but nothing I couldn't have found somewhere else for just as good of a price. For a more gritty, interesting market experience, head to Bitaka, the saturday flea... More

If you are a tourist and just have a few days to visit Sofia, its not necessary to go there. Maybe this place is good for locals but not for tourists. In my opinion, the place is the worse part of the city. I saw many romans overthere. There are many shops that sells everything for needs of homes but... More

I think it would be interesting to visit for tourist. This is a local market with cheap prices. If not buy anything just go for the experience, there are a lot of people there. Don't expect spoken English though.
