It's very small and all the time we were in there, the lady on duty was watching us, so we couldn't savour the atmosphere of this old church or its painting. 2 lev per person to go upstairs.

This church with loads of history has been part of a controversy in respect of being the resting place of Vasil Levski. The stories are actually more interesting than the building itself.

In a city where the cathedrals are huge stone monuments, finding a church that is not much larger than a chapel is already a good thing. With limited visiting times, the church is located close to the Serdica metro station.

Discovered and resurrected among the ruins of the ancient city of Sedica, this little church stood the test of time. It really looks beautiful with the colored boulders used when this church was built.

Really great site for a visit. Be sure to wander deeper into the underground to see the remainder of the ruins.

This is an interesting old church building set below ground level between the Serdica metro station and the nearby Serdica archaeological site. It wasn't open when I visited, but the main attraction is just the strangeness of the very old building amongst the modern surroundings.
