Interesting enough but the displays are showing their age

One of the best museums in Europe. The museum's collections are very extensive and date back to the Bulgarian monarchy. A perfect visit would be at night (only possible during European Night of the Museums) as the museum has a very peculiar ambiance!

I went to this museum and found that I was the only one there. The exhibits were not kept in the best shape i.e. dusty. The museum as a whole was interesting though. I would say it was worth the visit.

4 floors you can gaze upon rocks and stones, manimals birds insects... shame this museum is a bit outdatet. seems the best time of this museum is long gone... lots of dust has been collected by the stuffed animals... there could be so much more to learn in this museum if they would update it a bit

This is an aging museum with quite a large and diversified array of specimens. We really enjoyed going through every room on each level. As you move upstairs the specimens get bigger and more impressive. It's also where you can see the hard times the museum has endured with economic strains. The glass case windows look fragile but also dusty... More

I absolutely loved this museum. The building and exhibits are very old, but absolutely charming. The museum is filled with steel and glass cabinets full of animals. Especially the bigger animals are very impressive. The museum is not very big, so you can take your time to look around at ease. It would be a pity if the museum were... More

Nice little museum that is 4 Lev to enter. It has basic displays, more of a look what we have compared to themes grouping items together. If you don't read Bulgarian then you won't learn anything new. If you have an hour spare in the city this is worth a visit, even to look at what museums were like in... More

This is not like the NHMs you get in bigger cities, but a perfect example of how you can still get this education around the world. Good breadth of the natural world covered, and a nice way to pass the time. Only 4 Lev entry, well worth it
