Whilst the exterior of the building is not as imposing as the main cathedral the interior is of far greater interest. Almost every interior surface seems to be covered with paintings and the altar area is particularly ornate. Entrance is free but a fee is...More

The inside is beautiful and worth the effort, small to see it. It has a lot of history behind it and while we were there there were multiple weddings.

Well, it was a very nice experience since we entered during a wedding. The building is impressive. Enter and stay a little while.

Well to tell the truth, when we want to have a quick look at in, the person who is responsible for taking care of this place was terribly rude by not letting us to come in. If we consider that it is one of the...More

When I came into this place there was an orthodox baptism of a child. Beautiful ceremony will forever stay in my memories.

This is a magnificent site- and it's lovely to see it at the end of the boulevard, near a mosque and a synagogue. The internal look is gorgeous, covered in paintings as the orthodox churches are.

One of the most famous and old churches in Sofia. It is just at the start of the main Pedestrian Street (Vitosha)

One of the city's most important churches, at the beginning of Vitosha boulevard. Beautiful murals and icons inside, magnificent domes outside. Restored to its present appearance after the assault of 1925. Important part of the Bulgarian history.
