This is a former Royal Palace, and has some beautiful rooms. Some of the exhibits were in process of being changed,so we could not view them all,but enjoyed what we did see.

If you have visited the big art galleries in Europe this one will indeed seem tiny to you but nevertheless it's worth visiting. Being a former king's palace it's a place with a lot of history where you can still see some famous paintings.

The exhibition on the ground level was a joke. The first floor was stripped of most paintings and sculptures, the big hall was just empty. The attitude of the guards was appalling, just barking to show tickets and then continuing to shout at each other....More

nice place with specialized fine art exhibitions and with the National ethnografic museum located there too, so one can combine fine art with ethnoart in one 1-2 hour visit

I liked this smallish collection of Bulgarian art. Lots of stairs and I did not see an elevator. Enjoy.
