I thought it was fascinating to see a real local area of interest. So many of the restaurants buy their food from this market. Even on a dull December day the outside market was busy. Inside market is a bit ‘communist’ - if you get my drift. But worth seeing and if you are a tourist like us, you can’t help but pass through it.

A market where you can find fresh and local fruits, vegetables, flowers, meat etc. Although it is good, honestly I don't think it is really special. Its location is very central, you wouldn't lose so much time by visiting, so I would suggest.

This is a large market on different levels and in a variety of spaces with each speciality grouped together. We found the fruit prices quite reasonable and everything looked fresh. There are some adjacent shops selling prepared food as well.

A large open-air market in the center of the old town. Lots of tents, all strictly red, under which we find many stalls selling all kinds of food or drinks, not to mention the souvenir shops nearby. Here you can walk among the colors, smells and aromas of fruit, vegetables, cheeses and much more. The atmosphere takes us back in time and makes us savor what Croatia has to offer. Truly characteristic!
