I've visited wineries in New Zealand and South Africa and never seen anything like this. Focus is not on seeing the grapes grown but rather the 200km(!!!) of tunnels where the barrels and cats and bottles of wine are stored/cellared for maturity. We had a private driver than took us here from Chisinau. Tour guide jumped in our car (3... More

Once we arrived at the winery, a tour guide hopped in the car with us. She was informative and had a well prepared speech as we went along the underground streets. There were a few stops where you could get out and take pictures and walk through the tunnels. After the tour, we opted for the sampling of three wines... More

A must see when in Moldova. Beside the tasty wine is the great underground construction, history and tasty food. They are in the genius book for the biggest wine collection.

Not has nice as Cricova, but still worth the trip. We drove ourselves after a guide hopped in the car to provide, well, guidance.

That is an excelent winery very close tot the capital of Repulic of Moldova. We entered inside the winery with our cars. The wine colection is wimpressive, in fact it is the largest in the world. We tasted some sorts of wine and all of them were exceptional. You can buy them at a fair price.

The so called wine cellars are in fact located in a cave dug by the Soviet occupants during the 50' and 60' in order to get natural chalk used in constructions. The temperature and moisture are constant and hence proper to store wine and brandy. It is huge... 200km of galleries. The streets have wine names making one feel like... More

Very unic place! A must visit if you come to Chisinau. The price is not very expensive and if you like you can also have some food served and wine trying for a small extra cost.
