The exhibit starts with first stone tools right through to today. Romania has a rich history that contradicts my education as a lot of former communist countries. Even their weapons have the intricate Romanian artistry that was prevalent pre communism. You could actually tell from weapons and uniforms when communists took over even if not told. I just hope they... More

Loads on show from ancient armoury to cold war rockets. The lay out is a bit disjointed but just go into every doorway as it may also be part of the museum. Dont take photographs unless you have paid the 30 Ron or you will get some abuse from the staff. The outside exhibits are the most interesting IMOP.

This is more than a military museum. Sure there are tanks in the courtyard and a building full of uniforms and weapons but the main building is more an archaelogical cum historical museum. The exhibits are well set out, presented in chronological order and with English explanations. They have thankfully avoided the curse of all archeaoligical museums in that they... More

This was an interesting museum to see. Its cheap and something to do if in Bucharest. The inside shows the weapons and armor of the early Romanians, which is neat to see (they were apparently all really short). Outside is all sorts of modern military stuff ranging from tanks to missile launchers. There is also an aviation portion of the... More

If you like guns, and warfare this is the place for you. Personally, I don't, but I still found it fascinating. It encompasses the military history of Romania and the historic people prior to its existance, such as the Romans, Dacians, and prehistoric peoples, thoguh the middle ages, world wars, the cold war relics, and right up to the modern...
