Nice church for a visit and in a convenient spot. Follows the formula of all churches here...central dome, walls covered in paintings of saints.. dark and modest interior.

In fact, it is a nuns monastery, right in the centre of the Old Town, in Bucharest. The church is wonderfully preserved and it bears the influences of the late Greek medieval religious art. it has a very good preserved museum, which could be visited...More

This little church is beautifully decorated and although on a main street a historic door way into the past. Don't miss the little courtyard around the side; an oasis of quiet.

The old town is not really an old town, it is more a couple of blocks with some buildings from last century which streets have been occupied completely by cheap beer places. One of the few interesting buildings to see in Bucharest is this one.
