    Good atmosphere but poor food!!
We went here for an evening meal as it seemed very popular. We did enjoy it - the atmosphere was great as was the entertainment , however the service and food wasn't of the same standard. No sooner had we ordered our food was on the table but it wasn't great. My chicken schnitzel was cold and tough with a handful of fries which was very disappointing. My husbands 'traditional' pork dish was not much better. It felt like they wanted us in and out as quickly as possible. Also - if you're from the UK be aware that smoking is the norm. It was really off putting breathing in the smoke as trying to eat. Not the best experience!!

    It’s a must
This was on my to do list from the start and it didn’t disappoint . We turned up at about 9.30 and was unsure if we were too late but despite only having a few tables in use we were welcomed and seated promptly . The menu was great and I did go for the touristy options but wasn’t left disappointed . The ambiance in the courtyard was great and didnt feel hurried or pressured. Local wine was a surprise and excellent and if ever in Bucharest I’m going back . The only disappointment to the night was nothing to do with the restaurant but as I feel it important to warn people when I left I got a yellow cab (Titan taxi ) and was scammed for 250 lei for a trip which has cost 20 the night before from the same spot . But definitely check this restaurant out

    Great for big groups
I was here for an erasmus dinner and the atmosphere was amazing! All the staff was extremely patient with us even though there was about 300 of us and everyone got up and danced. The had some live music and other performances that were just fantastic. We had some challenges with the dietary restrictions but the staff handles it as best as they could and overall the dinner ran smoothly

    Romanian classic in atmospheric courtyard
Great inner courtyard, felt like being in a Disney princess restaurant. Had the house speciality caramelised lamb for two. Came very quickly. Set alight at the table. Min for 2 but good for 3 I reckon. Could have been warmer. Same for my husbands food. Tasted good just not refined cooking hence 3 rating.

Nice looking building.... Have to eat at the restaurant to have a look around
We visited Manuc's inn as it seemed like a good piece of history to visit. It's a shame is been turned into a restaurant and you can't just have a walk around. We personally didn't eat here as we had heard mixed review's about the food and the service plus we had other places we wanted to try. Still worth having a walk past and viewing the aesthetics of the outside of the building.

    A Most Enjoyable Evening
We arrived without a booking and were given a table in the wine cellar, an amazing surrounding with a great atmosphere. The food we had was very good. Chicken kebab was moist with good flavours and tasty rice. The homemade sausages were excellent. A generous portion of Papanasi (doughnuts with sour cream and cherry sauce) was enough for 2 people. A reasonably priced bottle of Romanian white wine (about £15) was also very pleasant. To finish the evening there was traditional Romanian music and dancing. The total cost of the 3 course meal was about £65.

    Delicious Romanian Food
This place was recommended by one of our tour guides. It did not disappoint. This being the first time we tried traditional Romanian cuisine, we were a little nervous. Nervous no more. We had the mici, the cabbage rolls, and the sauerkraut salad. All were fantastic. The atmosphere was very relaxing as well. Thanks again for the great food.

    Authentic dinner in Bucharest
We stopped for dinner under the trees in the courtyard of this historic hotel. The food was very good. We shared pork ribs and Sarmales for dinner. We also had a flavorful soup with turkey leg in it. Their Romanian specialities were quite good. It is a bit touristic, reminiscent of a Beer Garden, but authentic enough for a fun evening out in Bucharest.

Great energy, tasty food, and not too expensive. I had the lamb knuckle, and it was very nice. There were even some vegan options, although mostly starters.

The place is very loud though, with dancing, singing, music, and overall a lot of things happening. It was perfect for most of us, but it's not for everyone, and would've been exhausting to me on a different day.

Definitely recommended for people who want a place with a bit of life and generous portions of tasty food 😊

ATTENTION! NOT RECOMMENDED! Very nice and typical place. Returned after 2 years and a great experience. But .... this time terrible cuisine, reheated meat and old potatoes. A shame. As soon as they realize that you are a tourist they try to cheat you in every way. Two bottles of water paid around 16 euros, plus a mandatory tip of 15% of the bill. As soon as we asked for explanations about the forced tip charge, the waiter Paul ironically replied that the tip was only obligatory the day before and the same evening! hahaha... Stay away! Never again!

Unfortunately it’s a tourist trap.
They didn’t answer questions to the wine they served. Didn’t properly listen to what I actually ordered and served something else.
Normal dinner for two people including one dish to be a simple salad ended in a bill about 80€.
Vine basement is beautiful though.

Nice surroundings and very meat based menu. I chose the chicken schnitzel, chips and a side salad. The chicken schnitzel was nice chicken, but it looked like it was very pale packet breadcrumbs on the outside. Very small bowl of chips and mushy tomatoes in the salad. The peppers in the salad were delicious. I had a nice campari and enjoyed the pavlova. The meringue was from a packet too and not freshly made. For a 3 course meal and 15% tip (which a lot of restaurants in Bucharest ate asking for) it was £33

This place, particularly the inner court, is one of my favorite place in Old Town in Bucharest. I like to sit there for a cup of coffee in the quiet morning, space is so comfortable.

Great food, fantastic value and efficient staff with stunning decor and a great atmosphere too. What more could you ask for?

I highly recommend the Char Grilled Turkey Breast and also try the Imperial Schnitzel. Definitely one of the best restaurants in the Old Town.

We went to this restaurant in Bucharest attracted by its reputation as an ancient inn dating back to 1700 and expectations were high. Nothing to say about the place and its typicality, but the food was average and what's more not served hot but rather lukewarm tending to cold.
For example, my grilled pork was cold and the polenta was cold.
Fast service and ok beers.
Price of dishes higher than average.
It is worth the visit for the location, but there is better food to eat.

We had the best experience here during our whole trip to Romania. I think we were lucky with our waitress. Usually service in Romania is below average. Our girl though was attentive, polite, helpful and made great recommendations. Foie gras appetizer was just excellent. We also took the specialty of the house - caramelized lamb knuckle for two with a side of baked potatoes and green beens (garlic was way too much in it though we love it in big amounts, but I guess we are in Romania so it comes naturally and it’s ok)))))). It was very tender, tasty and fulfilling. It paired nicely with Manuc’s red wine called Roib. Unfortunately, we couldn’t fit any dessert after. The meal was very satisfying and the ambience was romantic and beautiful. I loved the wall with bottles. Make sure you sit in the main dining room downstairs. They also have upstairs seating including balcony and an outdoor seating during the warm season which I’m sure is nice too, but I loved our room (check my photos). Prices are very good too and reservations are recommended.
