When you arrive from the airport to downtown, you will probably drive by the arch. It is striking and surprisingly similar to the one in Paris. It seems most of the writing and stories on the arch were removed during the communist era so it is simpler than the one in Paris. When I went to the Village Museum, I... More

Coming from the airport you might be surprised to find sitting plonk in the middle of Sos. Kiseleff the Arcul de Trimf. You would think you were in Paris but this is Bucharest and our monument to the many conflicts to make this country what it is, stands proudly against the weather and time. The monument has been cleaned. There is... More

Triumph Arch is a bit of a hike - get the M2 from Unirii Square - then 1KM walk to site. Good spot for a selfie ... !!! ... You cannot climb inside the Arch - open only one day a year - and I would not advise trying to cross the road if you don't want to get run... More

You will pass it multiple times during travel around the city, but it is worth the 10 minutes it takes to stop and take a good look.

This arch is very smilar to the one in Paris in terms of size, meaning and placement. It is on a main way which connects the northern part of Bucharest (airport) to the downtown part, so you can easily spot it on your way to the hotel or back to the airport. A glimpse from your taxi would suffice if... More

The arch is same as delhi gate or paris gate. A triumphal arch is a monumental structure in the shape of an archway. Romanian flag is at the top of the arch, which you can enjoy and take some photograph. This is one of the symbol of romanian revolution.
