Spectacular building , had our photo taken with it in the back ground . You can walk up to the terrace where the entrance is for free but need to pay to enter.

You will have to pay a small fee for entrance but it is totally worth it. What an amazing church, just wow!! also you will have a wonderful view over Kiev from Andriyivski Uzviz.

Uzviv is a street. By day there are a lot of artists and painters. By night it's a good place for a walk, with beautiful vievs.

... at least from the outside as the church is separated by a gate and you have to pay for the entrance. I didn't want to, therefore I just saw it from the street but it is simply amazing, looking like a palace.

Due to works currently taking place, we could not go inside but could admire the beauty of this place from the outside. There are lots of souvenirs to buy here - but be aware that this would be amongst the most expensive places to buy...More

Apparently the Princess built this cathedral to eventually get married there with her lover. However the wedding never happened. Beautifully refurbished, Andriyivski Uzviz dominates Kiev student quarter and adjoins Andriyivski descent that leads many coffees and restaurants.
