Great views and photos and nice for a stroll

Like all other Kiev religious landmarks, just great in every way inside and out. Don't expect to join in any services, just admire the architecture and the artworks.

Short advice - start from the top, it's always easier to walk down. :) It's a nice street with lots of souvenirs to buy, some small, but interesting museums and even some restaurants. Definately a place to visit, if you are in Kyiv.

Citizens normally walk here just to get from Kontraktova square to Volodymyrska street and never buy staff here. All the accessories, paintings, vyshyvankas, t-shirst and sweatshirts with Ukrainian symbols are dedicated to tourists only. If you need to buy some national presents from Ukraine - you should come here but be aware that everything is overpriced at this place. But... More

We visited the Andreevsky Spusk during our last day at Kiev trip and we loved this vibrant place. There are street vendors at both sides of the street and towards the top, around the church area, there are artists displaying their paintings. It has a Montmartre kind of an ambiance in fact. Murals around are worth seeing as well. The... More

Andrew's Descent is a really cool spot in Kiev packed full of nice eateries and quirky souvenir shops. It's a very picturesque pedestrian street just up from the central square. Crowned by a magnificent cathederal it is a great place to hang out if in Kiev. Nice vibe here with a great mix of tourists and locals.

DO NOT get souvenirs here as they are ridiculously overpriced. However, if you're coming from $ based countries, the priced won't scare you off that much. It's good if you have a local with you to ask for the price & negotiate b/c when the vendors hear English or even have a sense that you are a foreigner, they will... More

I first noticed the cathedral whilst walking through the park which leads off into the History musuem grounds, which is where you can see the Cathedral. You have to go down some stairs to street level them climb up separate stairs to the church grounds. Go there! It's beautiful and the area is great for street stalls and food.
