Worth to see for the statues and memorials to those lost during the riots, but not alot else there other than cafes. If you go underneath there is a shopping complex which is worth a quick visit.

A large open area on perhaps the busiest thoroughfare in Kiev. Bordered by many local coffee shops and street food vendors it is an interesting place to pass some time with a little people watching.

Thoroughly enjoyed a day here, roads closed and you can try Sedgeway or go karting and there are a vast array of street performers. Sit and watch it all happening at one of the many restaurants and try the local beer, it's really good

This MUST be included in any visit to Kiev. The square is at once beautiful and somber, sad and joyful. It is a celebration of the victories won by the Ukrainian people, but also a remembrance of the price of those victories. It parallels the...More

The Maiden / Independence Square of Kiev is a hub of action. It is a great starting point for a interesting walking tour or to merely people watch.
