After so many churches not permitting photography it was great to find this church - video cost was 200uah and still camera I think was 70uah.

be sure to take a local translator. An incredible ornate church that is worth the stop to visit and an Orthodox guide is most helpful.

A stunning interior to this cathedral with as expected gold and paintings. Remove hats when entering and as expected not to speak too loudly.

arrived here during a mass and was taken by the musik of a female choir and the ceremony which was attended by very religios people. thrilling atmosphere!

To get the full historical significance of the artwork inside, it's good to have a guide who can tell you about the history of St. Volodymyr and his family. Fascinating insight into Ukrainian cultural background.

Like a lot of the Byzantine churches in Kyiv, this one offers up amazing architecture. But at night is where it really shines. Simply stunning.

I think it was about 50 UAH or so. But you could always ask someone from visitors to help you with translation, most young people in Kyiv speak English
