A not to be missed place to visit on a trip to Kiev. The architecture is stunning and the mosaics composed of smalt of 177 different colours and shades plus the frescoes which are on both secular and religious themes are not to be missed.

We visited Saint Sophia's on our first day in Kiev it boasts some stunning architecture, situated a 10 minute walk from Independance Square and opposit Saint Michael's it is a must see.
