We travelled from San Salvador to Santa Anna to a coffee plantation at Concepcion De Ataco to the charming village of Nahulzalco to Suchitoto to Mayan ruins in Chalcuapa and Opico Las Palmas to Cinquera Perquin to the beach at Chirilagua to the wildlife sanctuary at Usulutan where we learned about the rescue efforts of spider monkeys. We were expertly driven and guided by Francis Espinosa. We are so fortunate to have had such a wonderful guide. His knowledge and passion for his country was apparent. All the accommodations were different and charming including the tree house at Barillas Marina. We met wonderful people and learned so much about the history of El Salvador. I would highly recommend travelling with Epic Tours and consider yourself especially fortunate if you get Francis as your guide.…

I used Epic Tours El Salvador to help plan my trip to El Salvador in 2016, and they are an amazing company and very easy to work with. My brother and I wanted to travel to Honduras and El Salvador this year. I had my fingers crossed that Epic Tours would travel to Honduras for us, and they did! I cannot say enough good things about this company. Their communication is very good, and the drivers always arrived on time to pick us up. Epic Tours took care of all of the hotel arrangements and made sure we traveled in safe areas of both countries. I would highly recommend using this company, and I will definitely be in touch with them if I return to Central America.…

We used Epic Tours for a 4-day stopver in El Salvador. The service was excellent with Esther answering all emails quickly and efficiently. She was very flexible. We had twonday tours - one to Suchitoto and the other to the volcanoes area and Mayan ruins. Both tours were excellent and Ricardo was a fantastic guide. Cannot recommend Epic Tours highly enough.…

I only had one full day in El Salvador, and I'm glad that I booked with Epic Tours to make the most of my limited time. My objectives were three-fold: (1) visit the tomb of Oscar Romero, as well as the hospital chapel where he was assassinated; (2) visit a coffee plantation; and (3) eat pupusas, which did not seem to be available near my hotel, as I was surrounded by well known "chain" restaurants. My guide, Carlos, picked me at my hotel, and we began with a brief tour of Iglesia El Rosario. From there we walked to the San Salvador Cathedral, and we descended into the crypt to see the tomb of Oscar Romero. From the Cathedral, we drove to Hospital Divina Providencia, where we saw both the chapel where Oscar Romero was assassinated as he said Mass, as well as the small house where he lived (el Centro Histórico Monseñor Romero). It was a moving and insightful visit. We then drove west to Ataco and a tour of the El Carmen Estate. Giovanni gave us a great tour, explaining how the coffee beans arrive, and the various stages of processing. We saw a full warehouse of bags of coffee beans, as well as a group of women sorting the high quality beans near the final phase of processing. Our visit to the coffee plantation concluded with a delicious cup of coffee, and then Carlos showed me around the small town of Ataco. It was a peaceful and pleasant contrast to the capital city of San Salvador. Our final stop that evening was Tipicos Margoth for pupusas as we returned to San Salvador. A great introduction to El Salvador on my first visit to the country!…

I traveled through several countries in Central America and used the services of a Honduras agency to organise the whole trip and they used services of their partners in each country. In El Salvador it was Epic Tours El Salvador, and I was very happy with that choice. I crossed the country from Suchitoto to the south via San Salvador and Mayan sites, a stay on the black sand beach in a gorgeous hotel Los Mangos, and then crossed to Nicaragua from La Union on the Gulf of Fonseca. All went very smoothly, the tours were interesting, the hotels they chose for me were wonderful (I loved the hotel Arbol del Fuego in San Salvador), the car was clean and comfortable, the guide-driver Marvel is very good, professional and a nice company to travel with. He gave me lots of information about the country, nature, people, food. One small suggestion to the agency... The driver brought me to La Union, where another person was to meet me to help with border crossing formalities and boat trip to Nicaragua. The driver left before that other person came. Then he arrived, all was good. Just would be appreciated if a traveller is not left alone (a young woman, not speaking Spanish). That's the only unpleasant moment I had, the rest of my 5 days' trip in El Salvador was absolutely great I recommend services of Epic Tours El salvador with confidence.…
