This was such a treat to be able to hike a top the volcano, to then stare down its center. The views from my plane were also breathtaking! An amazing place in a heart of this beautiful city!

The closest vulcano to town. Take an Uber and ask the guy for you, pay the difference in cash. It much anyway. Quite a small park, about 30 min to walk around. There are 4 observation points. The crater is about 1.5 wide and close to 600 meters deep. Entrance is 2$, but the place is guarded and clean.…

I thought it was pretty neat. It's a pretty basic walk to get to the crater rim. I believe entrance to the park was $2. I ended up taking an uber to the entrance for about $7, and then just caught the bus on the way down. I didn't do it, but would highly suggest you find a guide to take you down to the bottom of the crater. Overall was happy I went!…

We took the stairs to get to the top and have the opportunity to look at another great marvel this country has to offer! definitely worth the effort to get here. quite beautiful! not much more to say except PLEASE come and see it for yourself. I PROMISE you won't be disappointed!

The hike up to the crater's rim rim was relatively easy, though there were a number of steps involved. The view was breathtaking. Our guide told us the volcano has been dormant for just over 100 years, with the last eruption occurring in 1917. Recommend bringing an umbrella and/or a poncho if you come during the rainy season as there are few shelters available at the top and they are a bit leaky. …
