A small shop is in Casco Viejo (visited). The main shop is in Obarrio (did not visit). The factory tour is in Costa del Este. Called the day before for reservations and we went on our own. After a very bad cab ride, Monica took great care of us. What turned out to be a private tour was very good;... More

Found this place originally on TripAdvisor (thanks btw), and liked the whole concept. On my second trip to Panama, we went. Prices from 20 bucks and way up! You like Terracotta. Mola. Jewellery. Carvings. Check it out. NO haggling. We missed the tour. 😔 next time.

Reprosa center is certainly not just a shop for Panamanian memorabilia. Started as a non profit center for reproduction of antique arts before smuggled out of the country, it has become a major conservation center of almost every aspect of Panama's heritage and nature. Gold, silver and semiprecious stones are crafted into beautiful jewelry with strict adherence to ancient tribal... More

I usually dread this "factory" visits when I am with group travel, but thoroughly enjoyed their shop -- I skipped the tour part, although others said it was interesting, I needed more time to browse. They weren't pushy, had a nice variety of items, many with quite reasonable prices.

I visited Reprosa with a large group...some family members who were born and raised in Panama. The tour was wonderful and full of the rich history of pre-Columbian jewelry and art. The family business is warm and inviting and the jewelry is stunning! I highly recommend a visit to Reprosa and come prepared to purchase some of the gorgeous jewelry,... More

I want to clarify right at the start...we didn't go do the tour but we went to the shop on Ave. Samuel Lewis. We were looking for some upscale gifts and souvenirs and believe me this is the place! The jewellry is simply spectacular and the souvenirs are not something you'll find in a street market. I was able to... More

Down in Casco Viejo on the hunt for something nice to bring home. This shop is small but very nicely curated. I had purchased some baskets in an Embera village in Darien but these were of much higher craftsmanship and only slightly more expensive. Having seen a Harpy Eagle in the wild I was looking for something special and found... More

Thank you so much for your kind comments about our handicrafts. We are fortunate to have some of the best basket weavers and wood carvers working for us and we really appreciate the fact that our customers can see the difference in the quality we are able to achieve with them. Thank you for taking the time to write. More

The Reprosa, Treasures of Panama Tour is an unique experience that kept me engaged throughout. I cannot recommend highly enough both the Tour Guide (she is a jewel of Panama herself and kindly gave me a solo tour!) and the content of the tour (informative, practical and cleverly constructed). And on top of it all, you get to browse a... More

We were in search for our usual souvenir a piece of jewelry that has some cultural representation. There were the typical Central America jewelry that you see at any country for example shells, beads, etc. The other option was Zara at the mall, which was definitely not what we wanted. Then we found Treasures of Panama by Reprosa and we... More

This hop and work room (factory) offers a wonderful presentation on the "lost wax" method of making gold or silver jewelry - the way it was made centuries ago. I highly recommend it even if you don't wish to buy anything. The people who work here are friendly and happy to help you learn about this old/ but still active... More
