“Great photo op”
Built between 1688 and 1796, this is a magnificent example of the religious colonial architecture of Panama.

You will want to stop and take a photo of this old church and step inside to enjoy the decorations. Not overdone. Just right.

This Cathedral took about 100 years to build, starting 1688 and opened in 1796. The outside as well as the inside are very impressive for picture takers. I believe the Pope is going there in 2019.

This is a beautiful old church on Avenue Central and is worth a visit although it was under significant construction when visited. The adjacent plaza, Plaza Central is quite pretty.

Not even the frnt can be seen. Go to the plaza in front and take a break with the free wifi. One block from the paseo de las bovedas.

I've been to this Cathedral in the past when it was open. It has been closed for restoration for some time. You can't go inside and see it's treasures. The exterior is under almost complete scaffolding. I'm not sure when it will be finished but...More
