Just walking into this cathedral will take your breath away. So many statues and pictures dating back so so many years. So much gold trimmings and stained glass. Don't miss out

Although one of the towers is shrouded in scaffolding, it is easy to see the splendour of this Cathedral and what it will look like when the renovation is finished.

You can not do any better that this for seeing old churches. It is currently under construction for renovations (May 2017) but you still get a good feel for the original building. There are at teast 5 churches in an 8 block area to see....More

Excellent example of the architecture as well as the building integrity of old Panama. Very impressive structure that serves as a symbol of Panamas religious nature.

The entire front of the building was covered in scaffolding and there were no signs to let you know that the cathedral was still open so I just tentatively walked up to the plastic hanging down over the entrance and went in, and I'm glad...More

One of the many very old Catholic churches that is worth the visit while in Casco Viejo. As with all the churches there the alters are very impressive.

As others have said, the Cathedral is undergoing extensive renovation. You can see one of the towers and get some peeks at the interior, but don't plan your visit around it. There are several other impressive churches around the old city as well as some...More

Hello, there was some construction going on around there but it didn't affect the cathedral. We went on August so it may be an issue now. Enjoy your trip.
