The old town is small enough that you can easily get around on foot. The architecture is Spanish colonial and many buildings are being renovated. Mainly government buildings, restaurants, hotels and gift shops. A couple of pleasant plazas.

Definitely a good choice to stay in Panama City. Safe to go around also in the night, with certain limits on the map in mind. Plentiful of good restaurants and bars and the real city is close by. There seemed to be a lot of...More

There is really nothing to say. This place is a MUST. Tiny streets steeped in centuries of history, many cultures - Panamanian Indians, Spanish, English, French, American, Columbian, Peruvian, Jewish etc.etc. It all made Panama very diverse and rich. Amazing.

Glad to see the Historic sites of Panama City, and learn more behind the remnants of the past, worth seeing.

It doesn't cover that big an area but it's definitely worth a visit. Walk the streets, visit the churches, a number of nice cafe/restaurants and bars.

The meticulous reconstruction of old buildings that are literally propped up by beams is underway. See it before it turns into Cartagena with the hordes of tourists.

I found to the airport was always a little more. I am not sure from that location though. I would always ask before you get in any taxi.
