Interesting displays on 4 floors. We missed spending time on the 4th floor since we hurried back down to the theatre for a mini-movie. We were hoping the movie would explain the locks but it was more about the passage of time in the area....More

A must do when visiting Panama City. This building has four stories with comprehensive historical, technical and botanical displays on each level. The 4th floor, which is covered from the sun, gives the best views of the locks and, if you time it right, you...More

Very intertersting and a must see in Panama. Make sure you go early in morning to catch the most boats going thru the Locks. Museum on multiply levels was very interesting and informative. Was not a fan of the movie offered.

If you do not have the time to travel the canal, this is the place to go out of Panama City. Wat thing the ships pass thru the locks is great but don't miss the museum.

Seeing the canal in real life was so much better than any picture. The museum and movie are a great way to start your time there. Make sure you have time to browse and read some of the history. There are some great displays and...More

It has to be seen to be believed! Huge vessels passing through the canal in slow motion with inches to spare, stabilised by ropes attached to so called mules - small electric engines moving along the canalside on rails. You might think 15 minutes would...More
