Even though expensive - cheaper for seniors/residents it is a must do when in Panama. Watching the ships enter and leave a lock is fascinating. A great learning experience. An opportunity of a life time.

The Miraflores visitor centre lets you watch ships going through the locks on the Panama canal. $15 for the pleasure of watching the gates operate.

This New Wonder of the Modern World is a must see. Very interesting. To enter the visitor center costs $15 USD for adult foreigners. Totally worth it. An enlightening ten minute video is shown. It didn't start on time when we visited though. Maybe fifteen...More
