I took some photos of the Riverwalk from the Festival Plaza near the intersection of Court and Main Streets. The plaza is empty this time of year and was quite a contrast to how vibrant it is during the warmer months when there are festivals and concerts. The riverwalk itself is always nice (not so much in the cold weather, though).

I am in the L/A area for business about 30 days a year. I stay at the two local hotels by the river and always end my day with a walk.
I do walk on the Auburn Riverwalk, but then cross over the former railroad bridge to walk back along the Lewiston Riverfront walkway to the bridge on Main Street in Lewiston back across to Auburn.
It is a nice comfortable walk. In the early spring, the falls of the Androscoggin River are amazing.
There is a nice Veterans Park on the Lewiston side by the falls.

Nice walk which can take you from Auburn to Lewiston. In the Auburn part, there is a little waterfall, bandshell where bands play live. I used to live in this city many years ago, and I can't get over the changes that have been made regarding this section of town.

Perfect for leisure strolls along the river, bike riding, or walking dogs. The paved trail is well maintained and not too crowded.

The design of the walkway, incorporating the natural terrain and existing bridges, is very appealing. This was all wasted land when I was a kid; I'm glad they made something nice out of it. I've been up to the top of the falls a few times and the view is great.

This isn't a long walk, but the part that is done is done very nicely. My wife and I stopped at several benches just to watch the water and the people.

The walk runs along the river, from the falls down to the trestle that crosses over in the Lewiston side. I normally will go across, then up one side of the parking garage and down the other side. It takes about 15 - 20 minutes to do and a nice mid day pick me up

We walked in December, it was a bit chilly but very informative. There was a lot written about the two towns that connect at the river and what the river was used for in years past. Neat and clean, Just beware there could be some undesirables around the area, Some very old homes around the area also, a good walk,

Easy walking for all. While Auburn is not largely urban, this walk creted in the "more urban" is quite nice for a morning stroll.

We had dinner near by, and we took a long walk by this bridge, and towards a nice park by the river. On this warm day, it was very refreshing/relaxing early evening walk! Very romantic evening!
