The Alex Haley statue grouping at City Dock gets all the attention, but this is a nice piece of public art. I'm bummed that the day we walked by was too grey, flat and overcast to get good photos. But this is worth a quick detour.

This monument to a great American with its "Equal Justice" reminder is appropriately located near the Maryland State House. It's a beautiful spot and there are benches from which to sit and admire. Notice the smaller statues of children looking on. Well done, Maryland.

While walking along some of the less frequented streets of Annapolis, we happened upon this memorial. Nice place to stop and reflect on the changes he helped make happen in the United States.

Stopped by the memorial October 3rd 2016. Our tour guide gave us a brief explanation of the progression of Thurgood's life. I'd recommend stopping and taking a picture if your at the state house.
