I have been to many maritime museums. Since I was in Annapolis for the day and needed to kill some time, I made my way to this museum. It is no where near the size of other maritime museums, but it is still a great place to see. The lady on duty was very friendly. It is housed in an... More

This is great for school groups but also great for families to visit. The museum is small and can be seen in just over an hour. The location gives beautiful, scenic views.

We had a great time here for a friends wedding reception. The food and views were really great! It was neat that you could enjoy all the museum surroundings while you were celebrating. Not sure who the band was but they pleased us all.

I happened across a notice for "sock burning" and all the oysters I could eat at this Maritime Museum in the charming Eastport section of Annapolis. Apparently it's become a local rite of passage to celebrate spring by tossing your socks into the fire on the little beach here and that's just what I did. A $30 admission the day... More

The Museum is quaint and open to public for review. Children may enjoy but mostly for an adult viewing.

A must see on your visit to town, on the list for "you have to do here". If you love the water, you'll love this place.

Less of a fully encompassing maritime museum and more a oystering museum. The museum consists of one large room full of items related to the local oyster industry including a boat, an aquarium and several hands on exhibits; the second room is a art gallery and they also have a few outdoor exhibits with oystering vessels on display. This is not a museum as you would expect by the name, but more of a historical building that now has small exhibits to explain the story of fishing oysters from the bay, from both a past and current point of view. It is quirky and interesting and certainly worth a visit if you are in the area!

We attended a wedding here and it really was spectacular! The ceremony took place around sunset on the outside deck, right on the water -- it was beautiful! The reception flowed well with the layout of the museum. Overall, it was really, really nice!
