Amherst Cinema offers films that often are not shown in the "regular" theaters. Plus they have very comfortable seats, Good snacks and drinks. But it's mainly the movie selection that stands out for them.

Is it the quality of films Amherst Cinema Arts Center shows? Or the cleanliness? Or the caring? Or the community support? Or the easiest parking ever? Oh yeah. All of the above. My visits to Amherst Cinema are among the most satisfying in my world.

I love little theaters where you can see hard-to-find films as well as blockbusters, while sipping a decent glass of wine or a cup of tea. This place does not disappoint. The rooms are small, no-frills but comfortable. Staff is generally friendly and knowledgeable. Also...More

A vibrant part of the five college community. The theater brings many films you can't see anywhere else, plus showings of National Theater and other special events. Well curated. 100% solar powered! Plus their homemade popcorn with real butter is the best around.
