Great space for an extensive art exhibit of local artists. The hamam had both female and male sections and used to Los offer massages. Would have loved one but now it is used to house art exhibits.

I found out that the person who built the bathhouse was fascinated by the female breasts and that he made the roof look like them as you can see in the pictures. A really lovely place for those who love art. You can view both...More

The Daut Pasha Hamam has been turned into a National Gallery, and houses, among other things, a major collection of quasi-erotic and definitely phallic artwork, in what seems like an overt rejection of the restrictive mores of the Ottoman era. Interesting (if uniform) architecture and...More

When heading from the Old Bridge to the Old Bazaar, you'll pass Daut Pasha Hamam on your right (just before crossing the ugly concrete bridge over the busy road); it's a good idea to stop for a while there, not that much for the sake...More

one of the few buildings in Skopje that has been very carefully renovated. Excellent mix of saved old style and new renowated walls.

In the book that I've bought Skopje in Style, they explain a lot about the Old Bazaar and the hammams from the time of Ottoman Empire. This one is my favorite! You can feel history when you walk through those doors.

Its a unique ornament of Skopje. It is foremost a gallery. Presentations held there have a marvelous charm. So far it's been maintained, although in winter you could notice the floor needs some restoration. A pity this object is also rented for party's and receptions....More

A beautiful building which is the highlight of a visit. The works on exhibit are a very mixed bag and for the most part disappointing. However, I'd still recommend a visit if only to wander around and marvel at the building's beauty.
