The village is hidden away behind Hilli's and La Perouse - You wouldn't know there was so much history just metres away. Dinty showed us around the house and extensive food gardens. We saw many foods growing for the first time and it was so educational. The whole place is so historic, including the transport (see photos!)

The tour of this Village is led by a descendant of the original family that built it and so it was a "my grandfather ..." etc. story, which we found much more genuine that the kind of talk which is often given in these places by tour guides. WE did some of the tour on a vintage bus, then were... More

We came as a family of 9 to the tour and it was amazing for all of us! Dinty was the host for us and her knowledge as well as story telling skills are incredible! She made this tour and day very special for all of us. Definitely the best tour we had in Norfolk! Lovely greetings to Dinty and... More

The guides were amazingly knowledgeable and interesting. Part of the trip is inside, then you get a trip round the grounds in the original flat bed truck used for tourists to the island. Throw in free tea and coffee and nibbles as well, and this has to be the best value for money trip on the island.

The guided tour of this historic property is splendid. The displays are absorbing, the ride on the vintage truck around the orchard and gardens is a real treat, and so was morning tea.

Excellent tourist presentation as seen through the eyes of Emily Bailey. The history, the vegetable garden, the home and most of all, the great guide. Worth visiting.

This is a tour of George Bailey's homestead. It is as if the Bailey family who lived and worked here in 1890s had just walked out of the house. Everything is in pristine condition. George was a blacksmith and his tools and forge is still in operating condition. This is a step back in time. You are driven around the... More

This was probably my favourite tour on Norfolk Island. We spent nearly 3 hours touring around the property and learning what all about the past settlers of Norfolk, in particular Emily Christian who came to Norfolk as a 4 year old girl with the first settlers from Pitcairn. Our host, Dinti(not sure of spelling) was a wonderful guide with a... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the Pitcairn Settlers Village which is located next to the famous Cyclorama. The lady who drove us around to see the gardens in the 1928 T Model Ford also took us through a Settler's cottage and a most interesting museum including a blacksmith's forge.
