This is a beautifully designed theater. It is perfect for plays and shows of that nature. But for movies, it's not so great because there is no stadium seating, so your view might be well blocked by an unwanted head or two. The popcorn is delicious and the seats comfortable. The workers there are not that friendly, however. It is... More

Not only does the Dreamland have films (good sound system),with a main, and a small theatre for more films to be shown, a wonderful meeting and/or event space, live streamed Opera, and Bolshoi ballet, but they are live streaming the Presidential Debates (2016). There is no cost, but tickets should be gotten in advance to be sure there is seating.... More

Our welcoming reception over Labor Day weekend at Dreamland was a dream experience. The private room with a balcony overlooking the harbor was a perfect venue and Megan Browers and her staff could not have been nicer. I would highly recommend the Dreamland !! Mark D.

We usually include a visit to the Dreamland Theater during our weekly trip to Nantucket. The selection of movies is usually decent and they will sometimes do "special showings" of kids movies on rainy days. Fresh popcorn and the usual candy and drink selection. Also, it has the BEST public restrooms in downtown Nantucket - always clean and air conditioned!

The Dreamland has recently been revamped and is the perfect venue for a family movie on a rainy afternoon, a thoughtful documentary with a group of friends, a children's theatre performance, or even a wedding brunch - the view from the terrace is one of the best on the island and there is an attached room that is available to... Saw two movies over a six day period! Staff is very friendly. No stadium seating down below but it wasn't too bad on the first day as the theater was far from full. Second was to see Finding Dory which was just out so it was rather full but we sat above and it was ok.

Planning a party here guarantees a wonderful event. The view is amazing from the deck, the inside living space is bright and the kitchen is a caterer's dream.

We attended a wedding brunch this weekend at the Dreamland, and the terrace was unbelievable. You get a panoramic view of Nantucket Harbor, watching boats come in and out, people watching on Easy Street, and the room itself is gorgeous. Perfect place for a post wedding brunch, wedding reception, or any special cocktail party.

We enjoyed a reading of "The Harvest", a developing play, in the 2nd floor of the Dreamland Theater. The play was emotional with a great story and characters. The writer and actors were all living together on Nantucket, writing and developing the play together. They had changed the script from the previous night, but all performances were wonderful. The theater... More
