This is very unique mix of history, art, design and feminism. Two sisters bought a barn and transformed it into a form of sanctuary. Even though they were rich, most of the Art Deco decor has been scavenged from dumps and cheap antique shops.

This is free if you get the All Access pass at the Whaling Museum. I love this little artists colony house. The sisters who fixed up this old barn to be a haven for quirky artists are my heroes.

This was a very unique place to visit. A historic landmark that was once a barn and converted to a home. Quaker sisters lived here. Just wish we could tour the kitchen and upstairs room as well. Nice little area outdoors that publuc can use....More

we took our own walking tour using the map from the whaling museum. The museum admission included admission to this gem. created by twp sisters from Philadelphia it is amazing what they were able to do with an old barn and lots of salvaged items.
