We went for brunch, I have never stayed at the hotel. although I have visited the museum there a few times. The setting is truly beautiful, bring a camera, and walk around. Brunch was excellent, attentive service, wide selection including the omelette and crepe areas, a smoothy area, smoked salmon and more. Very nice treat, about 270 Q for 2... More

a lot of things to be seen, the place is surrounded by history and it well conserved so you feel like traveling in time. The food was really good and nice service. You see organization and management are present in this place from the moment you step inside the place.

There are alot of earthquake ruins in Antigua and these are some of the coolest. Particularly the main cathedral is a huge testimony to the power of earthquakes in this part of the world. The price I would say is a little high at 40Q considering that San Francisco is in my opinion a slightly superior ruin and costs just... More

We joined Elizabeth Bell's City Walk which ended in Casa Santo Domingo. It is a beautiful restaurant and hotel. When we went they are setting up for a wedding at the ruin of the main alter. It is quite spectacular. The private museum collection is very impressive as well. i think the privately own museum and ruin actually has better... More

Unfortunately, this ruined convent and church was privately purchased some time back and converted into a very upscale hotel. As a result, the hotel dominates and the restoration that's taken place has destroyed a lot of what should be able to be seen. Every space is hotel property and in use by them, and they've put in staircases, walkways, modern... More

This is kind of a goofy attraction. It's a pretty expansive set of ruins that are basically nestled into the grounds of a high-end luxury hotel. You can walk in through the hotel entrance, and then you are left to wander about and see the ruins. We should be clear: the ruins themselves are interesting and borderline spectacular at times.... All the superlatives were already used for this magical hotel. Its uniqueness is the location within the ancient monastery which the owner keeps in perfect restorative condition. Every corner holds another surprise but the only way to really appreciate it is to join the free tours arranged by the hotel. There are 4 museums and a chocolate factory within its... More

This hotel is beyond compare. Museum, artifacts, beautiful foliage, excellent service. The whole package. It is otherworldly and seriously a piece of heaven.
