A recreation of the original church, which was destroyed by the communists during the 1930's. What I like are the nearby booths that feature handmade Ukrainian clothing and crafts.

The original cathedral was blown up in stalinist times. It is being rebuilt in traditional style with a modern touch and unusually bright for an orthodox cathedral.

I wandered in during a Sunday service. The singing was fantastic. It was a magical experience. Definitely worth exploring.

If you have seen other orthodox churches you will agree this church has not much to offer. Still I like the light and open interior.

A very beautiful building (inside) with a fascinating history. Blown to rubble by Stalin the cathedral now stands there again as a perfect and marvellous reconstruction. If you have found other orthodox chuches overloaded with frescoes and chandeliers you will be surprised by the light...More

We visited in September 2015. Beautiful building inside, like all Orthodox churches feeling of peace. On the day we visited they had scaffolding up behind the alter and the men working on the scaffold were noisy and shattered the peace. I would like to return...More
