A very nice cathedral, in a busy little square in the center of the town. Great for a stop and relax a little bit.

A Monumental Russian Orthodox cathedral dating from 1808, restored after being destroyed by Stalin. There are no words to describe the beauty, size, design, and structure. The inside of this cathedral will leave you breathless! The cathedral sits in an area called Cathedral Square. There...More

Be sure to ask to go to the lower temple. Very beautiful. There, pay attention to the graves of Count Vorontsov and his wife.

The original cathedral was blown up in stalinist times. It is being rebuilt in traditional style with a modern touch and unusually bright for an orthodox cathedral.
