I saw the photo of this remarkable house on some of the tourist information during our visit but didn't really realize what it was all about until we visited this the site. What a pleasant surprise to learn that it was actually a normal building...More

As the previous TA reviewer stated this optical illusion is easy to miss. Best viewed from the other side of the road and stand on the (faded) red cross on the pavement.

It is not exist. It is just regular building. Maybe in the past it was some wall, but now nothing to see. Don’t go there, it is waste of time.

It is a gimmick but one that is a popular site that has to be seen by visitors to Old Odessa. Plaint to see that behind the facade, there are functioning flats.

Already passed it twice before i noticed it, from the correct side this building plays tricks with your mind and makes it look like it only has one wall. It looks mysterious at night.

Also known as the Flat House or the One Wall Building, the Devil's House, the triangular structure of the buidling gives the odd illusion. The original owner did not have enough money so one wall was never built, the shape of the building changing.

Nice place to take some photos. When I was there some construction works took place, it was a bit distracting.

I have to say I didn't know about the Flat house before seeing it. I was taking part of sightseeing tour and was taken there. The house was beautiful. And the visual trick was amazing.

Stand on a particular spot in this street and you will swear the classical building opposite is but a mere facade. Until you move a metre to the left that is. Quirky and amusing.
