In the 14th century it was the town center of Split. We were just going through cause it was windy and little bit cold day. Really nice place, the most beautiful sight of this square is City Clock. There are shops, caffes and restaurants.

This is a nice place with a great atmosphere. There are plenty of restaurants and stores around to choose from. It's a nice central area.

We loved sitting in one of the restaurants with a drink and watching people go about there day. As with Riva Harbour the drinks in the main square are very reasonably priced, particularly compared to Dubrovnik.

Another place which I consider a pity it is not better preserved. Several buildings have many architectural details which are nice and interesting, but there are so many tourists that only the main buildings are observed, and it looks like a bee hive.

The Peoples Square. Grab a beer and watch everything go by. Plenty of sights to see and this seems to be like a crossroads of shopping street too. Worth a visit at anytime of day. The noise of conversation in the eateries is great on...More

The Narodni Trg is also called the People's square. Close to the Diocletian palace this impressive square has many monuments, shops and restaurants. Impressive to visit, shop or just enjoy the day sipping a drink by the road side cafe.
