    Pricey
A pricey adventure at a coat of arms€25 for a family of 2 adults/ 2 children and not included or discounted as part of city Pass. Value for money isnt great as we literally spent less than 30 mins here. That said, the kids thought it was cool especially the Octopus who was very active. Also enjoyed how the exhibition is incorporated into the architecture.

    Small
Spent a pleasant half an hour here on a hot day. Small and quiet aquarium with some interesting specimens but it’s not interactive or colourful like the sea life centres in the UK. Suited my nature loving teen but small children may find it a bit boring.

    Poor little octopus
Beautiful location but…. The fish are rather crowded in their tanks. The tanks are kind of dirty. But…. The octopus. I have been thinking of this poor beautiful creature since I left several days ago. All it does is swim side to side- not even enough room to fully stretch. Heartbreaking.

I love to go to aquarium whenever we travel somewhere, but this was honestly the worst place I have ever been to, I don’t usually leave reviews but I felt like people needed to know not to support this place and give your money to these people.
The aquarium is tiny and for £7 each there is not much to see.
The animals were in the tiniest and dirties pools/aquariums I have ever seen.

This aquarium is unbelievable, carved into the historic City Walls of Dubrovnik, Croatia the Akvarij features marine life indicative of the Mediterranean. This facility is “Friend of the Seas” certified due to sustainable practices and meticulous care of the honorable wildlife housed within; clean, stocked tanks provide a glimpse at protected species both familiar and strange offering insight into the beauty and importance of what lies beneath in a friendly, cool, quiet and stunning environment. I am in tears as I reflect on my moments spent with these playful, mesmerizing and silly creatures. Excellent displays and well thought-out signage… i recommend getting lost on Lokrum Island then hitting the Akvarij!

This was a nice aquarium to visit. With a nice variety of tanks which were clearly very well looked after. It was also pretty reasonably priced and its air conditioning was a nice break from the heat.
The only drawback is that it is a bit small, but that is understandable given its location within the Old Town.
Overall I'd definitely recommend visiting it if you're looking for something to do in the Old Town.

About 30 tala with local species, many we hadn’t seen anywhere else. Set in the historic walls it is a good place for children and adult. Allow 30-60 minutes for your visit

A not very big but interesting aquarium. Unusual, due to its location, in an old medieval fortress. This also brings an inconvenience: due to the large temperature difference between the water in the aquariums and the ambient temperature (there is no air conditioning), condensation forms on the windows of the aquariums, which affects the optimal view of the inhabitants.
The entrance ticket is 60 kuna. You can pay cash or by card.
You need between 30 minutes and a maximum of an hour to visit it.
It's not "wow" but it's worth visiting, despite the many negative reviews here.

Bad bad bad. Turtle is in HORRIFIC conditions. Alone, limited space and nothing whatsoever to satisfy basic needs. DO NOT GO!! This needs to be shut down, the same could be said for the octopus many other fish / crabs. I CRIED!! Awful

Beautiful aquarium in a stunning location. Signs indicated it was connected to a local university and that the funds went to supporting the local sea-life. Knowing this made it well worth the price in our opinion.

I love aquariums so I stopped in while in town. This is a small well kept aquarium in a great architectural setting. The price was reasonable and it was an enjoyable experience. If you like aquariums and are in the area, it is worth a short visit.

We only visited this place as we had been caught out in the rain. Its small but this is reflected in the price.
It lacks a bit, it needs a bit of easy updating like having more signs at each tanks telling you about what's in there, it could be a very good educational place if updated, as the water around dubrovnik are so clear teach people why it is that way.
I felt sorry for the octopus that's in a small tanks and had no where to hide from kids tapping on the glass, it tried to push off from the side to swim but could only go one body length.
