Wasn't expecting too much, but this was a great nearby excursion! Sunbathe on the rocks, swim in the sea, stroll amongst the trees. Take a picnic, or eat in one of the surprisingly decent cafe/restaurants. More loos would be a wise investment. Space for kids...More

Amongst several islands in and around Dubrovnik, I made a choice for visit to Lokrum. The ferry runs from the old port at regular intervals and you can buy return ticket. The moment we entered Lokrum, we were greeted by a dancing peacock. Later on...More

Such a relaxing day out. The walks are easy and the island has very little to do but relax. Definitely recommend anyone to go.

A relaxing escape in a beautiful natural setting with lovely paths, beach, picnic areas and amazing views. Just a short ferry ride from the old city. Pack a lunch, bring your swimsuit, enjoy the peacocks and giant bunnies.

Good to get away from the city but unless you like to sit in the shade or sunbathe on rocks its not for the faint hearted. The climb to the old fort is worth it for the views but it is in itself not that...More

I visited the Island of Lokrum during a recent stay in Dubrovnik. If you use one of the main boat services from Dubrovnik Old Town harbour (120kn per person) there is no additional charge when you get to the island. The island is fairly densely...More

Hi! Most of the beaches in Croatia are rocky or contain large pebbles. I suggest bringing good beach shoes for walking there. The large flat rocks are great places for sunbathing. Bring a soft mat if you desire more comfort... More
