One of the most important streets of the Mediterranean, a truly important and necessary to visit for Dubrovnik each guest. Old, preserved street-lifeblood of the Old town provides a sense of walking on history, mixed with the cosmopolitan present. The local people go to church, tourists wander around the bars and restaurants coming back from the most beautiful city walls... More

Very croudy during day. Must visit at late night. Then is very quiet and calm. If you do not visit Stradun then you did not visit Dubrovnik ;-)

A nice walk through the Stradun connecting east to west in the old town. Dubrovnik is very beautiful and enchanting city, we loved the time spent here. This street is often busy during the day and also if there are big cruise stopped at the port. Dubrovnik port is huge and huge cruise do stop here while on the Mediterranean... More

I have visited Dubrovnik 3 ties and walked down stradun many times and I still find new things to see, starting with the Onophrian fountain, the many shops and cafes on the stradun and in side street off it. It's a famous thoroughfare and the main one in Dubrovnik.

The Placa (aka Stradun) a marble street that is slippery when wet runs from the Pile Gate to the clock tower and the Ploče Gate. The architects note all the buildings are almost identical because of the 17th century post-quake construction. The arches that frame combo doors and window have sills that once were used as a counter over which... More

Stardun is not the most attractive part of the old town.I liked more the view from the walls, through the alleys and off course the sunset from the banks.

As soon as you enter from Pile Gate you will see this wide street, full of souvenir shops, ice cream shops, cafes and bars towards the end. It's a great place to hangout in the evenings to do some people watching..

A pretty, well maintained pedestrian area for walking through the centre of the old town to get from pile gate to the marina. Restaurants and shops either side.

It is the spine of the town. The first street you walk down and certainly the most photographed one. It can be difficult to negotiate during the summer months when the town is packed with tourists.

My wife and I visited Dubrovnik in November 2016 and loved every moment! There was a market taking place the morning we came, right here in the Placa/Stradun. Just make sure you have your kunas - not euros! Enjoy the buildings and amazing time you will have!
