This temple is nicely preserved in downtown Pula. The interior is closed during the winter, so we could only see it from the outside. However, it is quite small, so I'm not sure if we missed much. If you are in Pula, it is worth a look.

This small, yet well preserved temple is an small window through time. You may envision how the Roman nobility and wealthy locals pay tribute to their gods, very similar to our religious culture with different gods. Heads and small sculptures are displayed on the walls. Location is perfect for a light stroll around town.

The city of Pula has some small roman historical sites to be seen. Also the temple of August is a worth one.

One of the sites that are left after ancient Romans, so you can find when wandering around Pula. Impressive from outside.

Well, it is a very narrow building, but it is a tall and somehow scary. There is not much to see inside. From outside it looks beautiful, or I would rather say vulnerable.

As we were there on a sunday; the temple was closed. However, from what I could see on the outside, it seems a very interresting building standing after 2000 years

Visited the Temple of Augustus on 11 Nov 2016. Situated at the Forum. Nice Roman architecture. The temple was dedicated to Rome and Emperor Augustus, and is most likely built in the first decade of the first century AD.

Nice place to visit for pictures and to have a meal around. The square is beautiful and you can eat while contemplating the beautiful architecture of the Temple.
