This is certainly one of the most beautiful opera houses in Europe, or in the world. Very impressive both from outside and inside. The best legacy of Austrian architecture. The decorations inside are a masterpiece. Must see!

We felt very priviledged to see the interior of this beautiful building. It's as build with no modern adaptations and is a wonderful example of fin de siecle architecture and decor.

This opera house is just wow. Come early to take pictures of the entrance hall on the ground and first floor. The best tickets for the ballet on that night where about 13 Euro. The ballet was wonderful but the audience needs a bit education....More

We booked to see Giselle ballet. It was a great production and excellent cast. Regrettably the theatre has a problem with the new phenomenon: mobile phone photography. It seems impossible to stop inconsiderate theatre goers from taking pictures during the performance. The other quite irritating...More

Beautiful opera house with fantastic acoustics. Magnificent architecture. In the summer the opera is on holiday but you can still enter and take a self guided tour. We were able to enjoy choir music on one visit that was very well performed

I am visiting Lviv at the beginning of December - does anyone know the programme for the opera yet for December?? The only postings on the web site are up to the end of November at the moment and obviously we would like to book ahead. Thanks

this is a standard procedure, you have to wait patiently, as you would have to have direct access to the Opera. Do not worry, if you will be for a few days, for sure you will find something interisting best regareds Pawelino... More

I am planning to visit the opera when I am in Lviv this summer, and I was wondering what the dress code is. How much do people normally dress up? I wouldn't mind dressing up, but I don't want to be overdressed!

There really is no dress code. If you are planning on seeing the opera or ballet at the theater I would recommend a suit; however, if you are simply going on a tour casual dress is fine.
