Bronze statue of Serbian leader and former Novi Sad mayor Svetozar Miletic (by great sculptor Mestrovic) is prominently located in the Freedom Square. Can't be missed.

Placed at the main city square, Square of Liberty. It is one of the main meeting point among locals, place where street musicians sit and play their music. Also, keep a memory of the most prominent Serbian politician during the late 19th century. He was the leader of Serbian population, at the time when Austria-Hungarian Empire ruled over this area.

Our family of 5 visited the Square in June 2016 and of course, came across this statue. It is nice but doesn't warrant anything beyond a photograph (ok, maybe you could read up on it).

Great statue but this should not be a separate attraction. It's the central part of the Svetozar Miletic square so you cant miss it if walking through.

Dedicated to the former mayor of the city, and very important leader of Serbs in Vojvodina, it's right in front of the City Hall. Can't miss it.

Very heroic monument to Svetozar Miletic in a beautiful square. A former mayor of Novi Sad and leading proponet of Hungarian Serbs. Lots of cafes and the occasional farmers market are featured here too.

In the middle of the square in front of City Hall in the city center of Novi Sad stands a statue of Svetozar Miletic, an advocate, journalist, author, politician, mayor of Novi Sad, and the political leader of Serbs in the Vojvodina region. He is said to have also contributed to the unification and standardization of the Serbian language.

The sculpture depicts the former mayor of Novi Sad/Újvidék, a proponent of Hungarian Serbs in the 19th century. It is located on a pretty square, right in the middle of other important sights in the city.
