... knowing of its history as aclock tower - not part of a church - but a place next to bazaar and giving time to the bazaaris when to go pray and when to go home, it sets itself in perspective. It is a bit shabby w graffiti. But it has a place in Pristina history.

This is a nineteenth-century clocktower which used to be part of the bazaar in the Ottoman era. It's main purpose was to tell people when it was time to go for prayers in the mosque. There is still an attractive Ottoman-era mosque nearby. These days only the upper section of the clocktower looks well-preserved. The main shaft is plain and... More

In Kosovo and Balkan region, each city has a Clock Tower, it is for the sole reason that in the past people have been very poor, and they have not been able to buy a watch for himself, therefore these towers are built with a clock on it, and some of them also with bell, but the bell has nothing... Nothing special though is described as a landmark of the old part of Pristina. Architecturally insignificant. Poorly maintained.

Ughh. I don't know why my Google Maps had this monument listed in the wrong part of town. I walked around 2km to a point that was supposed to be the clock tower, but nothing. A local finally pointed me in the right direction. It was an interesting tower and I'm happy to have snapped a picture of it. If... More

Architecturally speaking, this is one of the landmarks of Prishtina old city, but nothing is really done to promote it. It would deserve much more, especially to remove the graffittis!

Worth visiting this clock tower. Hidden along a backstreet near the Monument of Brotherhood and Unity.

This would be an interesting site if it was maintained. However, when we visited the clock tower was covered with grafitti with trash all around it.

If you like history is a nice place to walk by. Sadly it is in disrepair and painted with politically motivated graffiti...
