It is a small but very nice area. Clean and well kept. Relatively quiet for a market and civilized. It is nice to walk there, to buy something, to eat, good ice cream and simply stroll.

We went on a Travelsphere tour from Dubrovnik. What a mission 4 1/2 hours to get there and 3 1/2 hours back, because of the numerous borders. Travelling from Dubrovnik you have to enter Bosnia (as their country extends down to the coast - splitting...More

Get a guide and hear his story about the war and how the people rebuilt the whole place in 20 years. I would advise you to read more about the war before your go to Mostar. Only then will you fully understand how bad the...More

Take the time to walk the pedestrian zone of the old city with requisite photo taking of old bridge - go off the beaten path some by heading up hill from market streets to see so still war damaged buildings and more of Mostar's history

This area is such a timemashine and a fairytale at the same time and it has many restaurants, bars, little shops where you can enjoy. And all the time you can hear the relaxing sound of river below the bridge. Just beautiful!

Before visiting this bridge do some internet research. You will hear two very different stories about it based upon a Bosnian or Croatian point of view! It has a rich history about the architect who was condemned to death for defying his orders and building...More

The walk from the general parking areas towards the old bridge is very commercially touristy understandably, but it’s worth it. The pavement is cobbled with the bridge itself highly polished white marble - Wear Good Gripping Footwear! Once over the bridge the route continues on...More
