The old town has beautiful walks and some very historic sites. The Roman Theatre is a must. Also the museum. There are no cars in this area and an easy walk over a covered bridge from the Grand Hotel.

Picturesque streets made of rocks. Beautiful ancient houses. Antique shops. Roman ruins. Restaurants and museums as well as nice top view to the city. You will find it all here.

Nice wander around the cobbled streets of the old town, easy to spend an hour or two here, not much in the way of food or drink, bar at the top near the castle and one next to the arena. Pleaseant surroundings

I like this town very much it has a living soul itself. Nice places to visit. You can also eat delicious food and drink in the pubs. Don’t forget to buy beatiful oil paintings from the artists near the big main street of Plovdiv.

Only in Europe can we see such things! And that's not all in this city. There are Roman ruins all around the town.

Before I came to Plovdiv I'd never heard of it but this town is really beautiful. The building style is seen in more parts of Bulgaria but not as well renovated as here. In 2019 Plovdiv will be cultural capital of Europe so I suggest...More
