It's very nice to walk in this old town with preserved architecture and old church. This is the most old town in Europe.

As part of a tour group I enjoyed strolling the old town of Plovdiv and finding out about the culture and history. It has many unusual buildings and we spent some time deciding upon our favourites! The streets are cobbled and add a quaint feel....More

We've been to many Old Towns in many places, and this is one of the most charming. The streets are paved with stones (not cobblestones) which makes walking a bit treacherous, but it's worth it to see the houses (some of which can be visited).

Ancient theatre, music academy, cafes, bars, little shops, restaurants, nature, and an amazing view :) There're also multiple museums worth visiting such as the ethnographic museum, balabanov house, hindya something etc. Hebe Tepe is an amazing hill/cliff(???) that is a short walk...More

The main attraction is the old town, with its pedestrian streets paved with uneven cobblestone. Just to walk there and have a look around at the old 18th century houses is pleasant.
